Tesoro Del Amazonas 1080p 40: A Review of the Action Comedy Film
Tesoro Del Amazonas, also known as The Rundown or Welcome to the Jungle, is a 2003 action comedy film starring Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Rosario Dawson and Christopher Walken. It is directed by Peter Berg and written by James Vanderbilt and R.J. Stewart. The film follows Beck, a bounty hunter who travels to Brazil to retrieve Travis, the son of a mobster, who is searching for a mythical golden artifact in the Amazon jungle. Along the way, they encounter Mariana, a rebel leader who wants to use the artifact to free her people from Hatcher, a ruthless mine owner who also wants the treasure. In this article, I will review the plot, characters, humor and action of this film.
The Plot of Tesoro Del Amazonas
The film begins with Beck, played by Dwayne Johnson (credited as The Rock), collecting a debt from a football player in a nightclub. He then confronts his boss Walker, played by William Lucking, and tells him that he wants to quit his job as a bounty hunter and open his own restaurant. Walker agrees to let him go if he does one last job for him: bring back his son Travis, played by Seann William Scott, from Brazil. Beck reluctantly accepts and flies to El Dorado, a small mining town in the Amazon rainforest.
There, he meets Hatcher, played by Christopher Walken, who runs the mining operation and controls the town. Hatcher initially gives Beck his blessing to take Travis away, but changes his mind when he learns that Travis has discovered the location of a missing golden artifact called \"O Gato do Diabo\" (The Devil's Cat), which is said to be hidden in a nearby temple. Hatcher wants the artifact for himself and sends his men to stop Beck and Travis from leaving.
Beck manages to escape with Travis in a jeep, but Travis sabotages their vehicle and runs into the jungle. Beck chases him down and recaptures him, but they are soon attacked by some monkeys who steal their guns. They then stumble upon a camp of rebels led by Mariana, played by Rosario Dawson. Mariana is fighting against Hatcher's oppression and exploitation of her people. She also wants the artifact to use it as a bargaining chip for their freedom.
Travis convinces Mariana that Beck works for Hatcher and tries to kill them all. Beck fights his way out of the camp but is outnumbered by the rebels. Mariana intervenes and makes a deal with Beck: she will help him get Travis to the airfield in exchange for the artifact. Beck agrees and they set off on their journey.
Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and dangers, such as booby traps, poisonous plants, hostile natives, bounty hunters hired by Walker, and Hatcher's men. They also develop a friendship and attraction for each other. They eventually reach the temple where the artifact is hidden and manage to retrieve it after solving some puzzles.
However, they are confronted by Hatcher who has followed them with his army. He demands that they hand over the artifact or he will kill them all. Beck decides to give up the artifact but Travis refuses. He reveals that he has rigged it with explosives and threatens to blow it up if Hatcher doesn't let them go. Hatcher calls his bluff but Travis detonates it anyway.
The explosion causes a massive landslide that buries most of Hatcher's men. Beck uses this opportunity to fight Hatcher one-on-one while Mariana helps Travis escape. Beck defeats Hatcher by knocking him off a cliff into a river full of piranhas. He then reunites with Mariana and Travis at the airfield where they board a plane back home.
