Not as bad as it sounds. A lot of the Smurf coins are very visible, with some being hidden in secret walls and some surrounded by blue or stone blocks. The only Smurf coins you will not be able to collect, until after the Phoenix fight, are the ones surrounded by blue blocks. Once you beat the game you will be able to use to switch between Smurfs. Brainy is great for higher platforms. All Smurf Coins Locations
Very simple. This can be done on any level, at any time. When selecting your Smurf, press on a second controller and log into a guest or gold account. Now just complete the level. Alternatively you can wait until you get to the end of the level, sign the second controller into the game, and then complete the level.
This can easily be done in the Enchanted Forrest on level 1-4. Midway through the level you will see a crown. Pick it up and start to free the animals. You can jump on top of them or run right trough them. There are about 10-12 animals from where you pick up the crown.
The main strategy for this fight is to stay on the move. Once he smacks down with his free hand, be prepared to jump a hand swipe that covers the entire bottom screen. Wand pounds and wand spells will single you out so you'll have to dodge those. There is only one part where he'll drop five skulls but be prepared to dodge a wand pound directly after.
To go into True Blue mode you will have to free the animals in the game and collect the blue tubes that spawn after you've freed the animal. To stay in True Blue mode you must keep freeing animals and collecting the blue tubes. This can easily be done in level 1-1. You will be at a section where there are a bunch of animal very close to each other. If you get hit you will lose your True Blue.
To go into True Blue mode you have to free the animals in the game and collect the blue tubes that spawn after you've freed the animal. This should be your first priority on every level except the boss levels. There is no tracking system so make sure you keep track of the levels you have gone True Blue in and which levels you have missed. So if you do not get the achievement after completing level 6-5 you will have to go back and replay every level from start to finish until it unlocks.

But while film tie-in games tend to be a bit hit and miss - mostly due to the short development time that goes hand in hand with having to release in sync with a film - we're fairly confident that this one may be something to keep an eye on. Developed by WayForward, the folks behind the amazing Batman: The Brave and the Bold and the newly-announced DuckTales remake, the Smurfs are certainly in good hands on the developer side of things, while the publisher, Ubisoft, managed to rustle up a surprisingly good dancing game to tie-in in with the previous Smurfs film too, packed with songs and clips from the film.
From what we've heard so far, it sounds like the game will mostly follow the storyline of the film, with you roaming round Smurf town before jetting off to the likes of Paris and New York - but you'll also be able to visit arctic tundras and lava jungles not seen on the big screen. There's a total of six worlds to explore and around thirty stages to play though, suggesting that it might be a bit more substantial than your average tie-in.
The Smurfs 2 also promises four player co-operative along the lines of the New Super Mario Bros. games - and if you happen to pick up the Wii U version, this rises to five players, with the final player controlling Clockwork Smurf on the GamePad's Touch Screen. Over the course of your adventure, you'll unlock nine different Smurfy characters, each of which comes with their own special abilities - Papa Smurf can stun enemies with magic potions, while Grouchy Smurf can stomp on anyone that gets in his way, and Vanity Smurf can strike a pose, working as a platform to help you reach hard to reach spots.
The Smurfs 2 is set to hit the Wii, Wii U, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on the 19th of July, while an interactive storybook packed with mini-games launches for the DS. Check out the first Smurf-tastic trailer below:
The first movie had too many flaws, its game was terriblw, and this seems to be so too. Why the heck change their backstory?Smurfette isnt a real smurf, but creayed by Gargamel, to help him catch the Smurfs. Why leave the enchanted forest? Its rigth outside of a damn middelage kingdom!
I was a fan of the Smurfs when I was a kid. It's just a shame that they can not create a good 3D adventure game for them. Although I believe games based off kid movies are just rushed out for the profit instead of actually taking the time to make a good game. The Wii had too many of these poor quality games. I think Nintendo just needs to reject them unless there is actually time taken in the development of these games.
As if CG smurfs arent an insult on their own...And although im anything but a graphics person, but these screenshots are utterly disgusting. But like many others said: What else did one expect from a movie license game ?
No news here. Shovelware is shovelware. I was really bummed by the Wreck-It Ralph review as well. That would have been an awesome game had they tried to recreate the environments from within the movie. but that would have been like 3 game engines in one. No effort = no sale from me.
See guys, this is exactly why we shouldn't support SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge. Like I said in it's announcement article here on Nintendo Life, it's complete shovelware, and it's jarring that you guys think games like this can do that well at all. If you guys still think most licensed games can turn out great, then you're all wrong.
This is a ubisoft product. Is this part of the last chance they have been talking about. The quality games they have been talking about? Better buy it or ninty won't get any more "quality product" from ubisoft. a brand "you can trust"
@Jukilum Have you played the game? A better question, has anyone that has commented actually played the game? Or is everyone going off of one review? The game is obviously not targeted to "gamers", it is targeted to families and children. The game is very good for what it is intended to be. So yes, again, I would give it a 6. A slightly-above average game for families.
i think the reaction most of the people have for this kind of game is kinda hypocrite, because Ducktales is a "tv show game", also Aladdin, and The Lion King, and those back in the day, weren't called "shovelware" and a lot of people want remakes of those games, and other are losing their poop for Ducktales, so why this kind of games gets so much hate?, those old games, are pretty much the same, plataformers, and you all enjoyed them back, the only reason, today people don't call them "shovelware" is because nostalgia, and i don't know, maybe this game isn't a freaking "Bioshock Infinite" but it delivers its porpuse, fun for the kids,
@Gustaf89 I am having really hard time digesting your comment. Either you truly don't understand what "shovelware" is, or you just love bad games. Aladdin, lion king, and ducktails are CLASSIC examples platforming games when they were in their prime, and are arguably some of the best in the entire genre. That's why people want them remade, and still talk about them. I have played this smurf game, and the review practically took the words out of my mouth. I understand that it's aimed towards kids, but I almost find it insulting to think that young gamers can't handle more than a flat surface with a couple jumps thrown in. They made one level and changed the colors. It's lazy. 2b1af7f3a8
